“Casa nas Preces” is a series of photographs I made in my grandparents house in Madeira, Portugal. My grandfather was raised in this house that belonged to his father. Later, he would live there with my grandmother until moving to Lisbon and the place became a vacation residence.

The house is uninhabited most of the year, especially after my grandparents passed away. The only remaining are the plants and the objects.
